Blogmas...

That last one was a bust but it's the thought that counts. Right guys? ... Uh, guys? Hello?

The evidence speaks for itself. If we go on events alone, I had the most amazing year! If we go on personal growth... It was still an amazing year. I sat on the California coast in a swimsuit with no cover up... Mind blown! I don't think I ever not worn a tshirt with my bathing suit. I voluntarily went to the dentist - I was in pain, I had no choice. I found out I like working but I don't like the job hunting bit. Was nearly run over by Nathan Fillan's comic con golf cart. That's not really personal growth it's just a story I like to share.

I went back and looked at my list of goals for 2014 and I somehow accomplished three of them.

I earned my learners permit and am currently learning how to drive. Woohoo!

I had a job

And I went to  Salt Lake Comic Con FanX 2014

Im saying 'I' a lot which I starting to bug me so I think I'm going to wrap it up. BUT before I hit publish I just wanted to thank you. Whoever you are, wherever you might be. If you stopped by and read my thoughts, viewed my pics, followed me on twitter (shameless plug, twitter feed is to the right), etc... Thank you for being awesome.

I'll see you next year!

Blogmas Day 2

Well this Blogmas thing is going great, isn't it? I mean it's day 2 and I don't have any pictures. I didn't do much of anything today. I worked on Christmas presents, which I can't even tell you about because the people they're for might read this and then the surprise would be spoiled. I can tell you that it involved paint and sharpies. Crafty. I also made dinner while listening to Christmas music. Apple salsa porkchops with rice. Yummy. I didn't take pictures of that either :( sorry.

There's always tomorrow!

Blogmas Day 1 - An update and a Christmas Tree

It's December 1st!!! The start of Blogmas

totally not inspired by Vlogmas ;)

NaNoWriMo is over. The word count has been validated and I have slayed my 50k word dragon! My first draft is resting, waiting to be typed, and then edited into a "shiny new penny" (which will eventually turn out to be just a bit of copper and will need to be edited again and again and again....) But for now I have time to do whatever I want. And by that I mean write my penpals (three cheers for snail mail!), DIY/mcguiver Christmas presents, and drink hot chocolate.

What else did I manage to do while writing? I had a job. Yes. Actual employment by an actual company for the total of two days. No I did not get fired. They only hired me for those two days to help unpack and security tag products as the new store in town prepared to open it's doors. I'm really bummed out that I wasn't actually hired to work in the store. I liked working. I guess if that's the main thing I come out of that two day experience is that I like working then I guess it was "worth it".

American Thanksgiving happened. We watched the parade and all the football games. We had turkey and mashed potatoes and my favorite - pistachio pudding. I don't know why pistachio pudding is a thanksgiving thing. There's probably some weird US history tidbit that could answer my question. If you happen to know leave a comment.

Immediately after Thanksgiving day, my little brother took it upon himself to decorate the house for Christmas. All by himself. Here is the tree he designed for this year. It's amazeballs.

That's kind of it for the first day of Blogmas. I'll be back tomorrow with another post. I'll make a link to all the Blogmas posts up at the top of the page so you can find them all. Or, ya know, you could come back every day and read them one at a time. What am I talking about? That would be absurd and totally not instantly gratifying.

Merry Christmas!

P.S. Is it too early to wish someone a Merry Christmas?
